Assalamu alaikum Mufti sahib hope you are well Safaricom is a phone network If a deceased has debt in safaricom but safaricom refuses to accept money paid for debt claiming that the money will be paid from insurance… can one give away that money in Sadaqah (as though they paying off the debt)? Or is the debt to be seen as forgiven and the money can go to inheritors? Jazaakumullahu khaira

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
If Safaricom refuses to accept the money owed to them, the debt will be considered to be forgiven. Accordingly, the money will be added to the inheritance and distributed among the rightful heirs in accordance with their shares.
And Allah Ta'ālā knows best.
