Scholarship you can trust

Authentic Islamic guidance for the Canadian Muslim community.

The Canadian Centre for Islamic Research and Iftaa (CCIRI), an affiliate of Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (Askimam), is managed jointly by Mufti Mirza-Zain Baig and Mufti Hammad Jogiat, both of whom are students of the late Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai (May Allah have mercy on him).

Towards the end of their Iftaa course, Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai (May Allah have mercy on him) expressed his desire, as was his manner with most students, for both Muftis to jointly initiate an online Q&A and Darul Iftaa that would serve the Canadian population, especially the french-speaking population in Québec. Alhamdulilah, through his noble du'as and effort, the foundation of the institution was laid during his lifetime. We ask Allah to accept this effort and make it a means of khair for the whole ummah.
