As salaamu alaikum Dua that this email finds all well, inshaAllah. I would like to have the ruling on the cutting of hair ( generally not Ummraah/Haj) and if it is permissible then to what length? ( waist / shoulder etc) Hanafi Mashab JazakaAllah,

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, it is not permissible for a woman to cut or trim her hair except when she has to come out of Ihraam.[i]
