Surrogacy

Question

Im just asking this question for my own knowledge. A woman who cant have kids, can she have a surrogate?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The practice surrogacy or the involvement of a third person in reproduction is not permissible.[i]Alternatively, one may consider adoption. That is indeed a virtuous deed.
